1 Worship
Worship is central to all that we do together as the people of God.
We seek to encourage spiritual growth through a variety of worship services,
including parade services and communion. Our services should enable
all who attend to worship God and feel that this relates to their everyday
lives.
2 Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is the responsibility of the whole church, though the
ministers and Pastoral Visitors have an important role in ensuring that
all are cared for. We are constantly seeking to improve the way that
we welcome visitors to worship and enable them to feel part of the church
community. We seek to develop the sense of belonging by organising special
events and social gatherings.
3 Fellowship
We encourage all members and friends to meet regularly in fellowship
groups and undertake to provide opportunities for people to share in
Bible study and prayer. We aim to organise fellowship groups for young
people within which they can be challenged to grow and develop in the
Christian faith. As a stewardship church we seek to enable all to use
their time and talents in God’s service.
4 Outreach
The church exists for others, for those who do not yet know God. We
are involved in service in the community in various ways, both as a
church and as individuals. As a church we are committed to providing
a meeting place for the community each Friday morning. We seek to encourage
groups like the uniformed organisations, women’s meetings, dramatic
society, toddlers and holiday club that draw people into the church
from the wider community.
5 Buildings
We continue to serve the community by improving our premises. We have
successfully completed the major refurbishment project in three phases,
the final one being dedicated in January 2004. We are now exploring
the ways in which the premises can be used to greater advantage by the
church and the community
We seek to strengthen our links with the other churches in the Otley
and Aireborough circuit and Aireborough Churches Together in order to
express more fully our unity with Christ.
